Heads Or Tails: Bunche Beach

On occasion this wildlife blog has been posted a day or two late (with a self imposed Friday on-time deadline) typically if I don't get into the field early enough to capture some fresh images while hopefully offering something interesting for you to read.

Composing what you find here is often overwhelming as most of my energy is devoted to my employer and customers. A recent change in the presentation of text in the blog has relieved some of the pressure to meet my reporting objective. I've begun writing this to you without wildlife observations having been made which is atypical. My thought at the moment is that I will be somewhere productive to offer some images captured in March of 2012. A message I want to convey in this post are the expenses of travel and gear to keep this blog alive. In 2010 I had a near year long poll of whether readers of the blog had a preference for it presented with or without advertising. Those that bothered to participate surprisingly were equally divided on the subject. Months after the close of the poll I researched that a donation option was possible to keep the blog advertising free. With the gadget available approaching a year and with its underwhelming use, I have decided to include advertising in the blog. If you press or click on an ad (hopefully one you find useful), a fund will accrue which will be used to perpetuate the blog with earnest. Better yet, consider a donation if you are able and be a noted benefactor in the sidebar of my blog. With hopes to again find the mysterious Horned Grebe, I made a return trip to San Carlos Bay with Frank Constantin. What is presented in this post is, in part, what was otherwise seen on a very windy morning. Look for a new poll question soon.
