In this article, as I attempt to recover from image overload, you may find photography from three southwest Florida wildlife venues including Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, Lovers Key State Park, and Little Estero Lagoon Critical Wildlife Area.

Visits to these venues with images from them presented here were captured on the 9th and 10th of October 2013. At all the venues I enjoyed the company of
Frank Constantin visiting from Quebec. The walk along the Six Mile Cypress boardwalk was a necessity with the great migratory action that had occurred in the preceding days.

The birds that were observed along the boardwalk were in relatively few numbers, but Frank got an excellent image of Common Yellowthroat as he was in the perfect place at the perfect time.

A trip to Lovers Key State Park was made for observation of Bald Eagles. The most rewarding observation here on our visit, for me, was an American Kestrel that flew from the south to north, so in awe of its presence I failed to capture a photograph of it.

The arrival at Little Estero Lagoon was welcomed for its ultimate enjoyment. Beach venues remain my favorite with this one my second behind Bunche Beach Preserve.

While Frank focused his attention on a perfect shot, I was further up the beach making other observations. The light from the setting sun could have been utilized better with the subjects a little closer.
