The Swallow-tailed Kite were a bonus, though expected as they had been reported in the area a week earlier. One of the images of them is the dive-bombing of one of the caracara.

Wood Stork were seen in greater numbers than on any previous visit to this venue. Most of the species was seen closer to the landfill where a Great Blue Heron was active.

On several visits to Church Road I have heard Sandhill Crane calling from the ESE, but have yet to see them. Additionally, only heard this visit were Gray Catbird and Common Yellowthroat.

A tally of species I saw on Church Road this day includes Black-crowned Night-Heron, American White Pelican (heading WSW), Fish Crow, Crested Caracara, Swallow-tailed Kite, Wood Stork, Palm Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Savannah Sparrow, Common Ground-Dove, Boat-tailed Grackle, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Mourning Dove, Tree Swallow, Northern Cardinal, Painted Bunting (1, f), Common Gallinule, Little Blue Heron, Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Western Kingbird (1), Wild Turkey, White Ibis, Eastern Meadowlark, Carolina Wren, Red-winged Blackbird, Anhinga, Cattle Egret, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Turkey Vulture, Red-shouldered Hawk, American Kestrel, Eurasian Collared-Dove, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Blue Jay, Eastern Phoebe, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Northern Mockingbird, and Dunlin (flock of 25).
